This weekend the newly opened venue of Film Institute Netherlands (the Dutch centre for film culture and heritage) hosts Keep An EYE Filmacademie Festival with the program Below Sea Level – Explorations in Film. The program features film-screenings by the master graduate students at Netherlands Film & Television Academy as well as a selection of early works, talks & Context: a variety of films and cinematic footage that have helped the graduates to contextualize their film practice, and still serve as constant sources of inspiration.
The first screenings were today, thursday, but the graduation films will be screened twice a day all weekend. Especially inspirational were the works Seagull City by John Treffer & Nafas by Sam Yazdanpanna Arkedani.
